Humans Can Fly!

If I told you that we have the ability to fly, you would probably laugh and tell me I’m wrong. But then, what if I told you that I am right? Well, kind of.  Since the beginning of time and throughout our childhood we have watched movies, shows, and read books about superheroes flying above us. Unfortunately for humans, we don’t have superpowers and gravity exists.

So, how can humans fly?

Skydiving is about as close as we can get.  Interestingly enough, skydiving dates back to Leonardo da Vinci when he conceived the idea of the parachute in his writings; however it wasn’t until 1797 when André-Jacques Garnerin completed the first parachute jump from a hydrogen balloon 3,200 feet above Paris. Since then, skydiving has continued to gain in popularity and in 2021, we can expect to see over 350,000 people jumping out of planes and enjoying their own version of flying.

What’s it like?

Just to capture some of the more memorable feelings: your heart is beating out of your chest, your palms are sweaty, and your mind is racing at the sound of the propellers as you reach over 10,000 feet.  You suddenly feel the rush of cold air as they open the airplane door right next to you. This feeling is unlike any other and is an experience everyone should try in their lifetime if they can!

The View

For the first time in your life, you will see a stunning view like none you have ever seen before. From coast lines to farmland and beyond, it is guaranteed to take your breath away.

Your Dream of Flying

The moment you take the jump out of the plane, you feel invincible.  Almost like Superman. And who doesn’t want to be Superman? Even if it’s just for a few seconds.

Conquering Your Fear

Scared? That’s fine. So is half of the population. Skydiving is a very safe sport with less deaths on average than shark attacks per year! You will feel accomplished and empowered afterwards.

Bragging Rights

I mean, enough said right? This is a memory you will hold onto for a lifetime!

Would you skydive?

If you are interested, Oceanside and Las Vegas are two great places to check out. Hope you get around to making the jump – I promise you will enjoy every second!
